Hum is an independent music and DVD retail group, with outlets on two of Sydney's most prominent shopping strips - Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, and King Street in Newtown.

We stock a full range of chart and new release CD's, as well as an extensive catalogue of specialty genres, including dance, downbeat/electronica, soul/funk, urban, jazz, blues, world and more. Our range also includes soundtracks and local and import CD singles.

With vinyl making a resurgence, our ever increasing selection includes full-length albums, 7” singles, 12” singles, picture discs and collector’s items, from all musical genres.

Our range of DVD's includes the latest release blockbusters, documentaries, music and TV titles. We pride ourselves on our extensive catalogue, and specialise in genres like foreign language, arthouse/cult, queer, horror, nostalgia, Aussie films, musicals, westerns, BBC productions, grindhouse and more.

We also carry a large selection of Blu-ray titles, CD, vinyl and DVD box sets, rarities and collectibles, headphones, recordable media and other accessories.

At Hum, our focus is on providing excellent service, maintaining an extensive and diverse catalogue, and utilising our collective knowledge to ensure we either have what you're looking for, or can help you source it, if we don't.

We source our CD's, vinyl and DVD's from all the major Australian labels, as well as local independent suppliers and numerous import companies. This ensures we have the latest releases from across the country, and around the world.

We have a comprehensive database to help you track down those hard-to-get titles. If you would like us to search for a particular title, our friendly staff can assist you in-store, or you can send us the details via our online enquiry.

We sell a range of tickets to parties and events put on by local producers and clubs.

Hum On Oxford is also an official Ticketek Agent and an authorised Moshtix outlet.
